What we’ll cover
RedEye Labs' first public AI-literacy primer — a 3-hour, hands-on session that takes curious professionals, job seekers, students, and hobbyists from "I've used ChatGPT a bit" to "I can read an API call, shape a prompt pipeline, and tell when Claude is out of its depth." We work in real tools (browser + Claude + a bit of code) on real problems the students bring with them — the intake form's goals field feeds the lab guide so every student walks out with something they could use on Monday morning. Topics cover: mental model of LLMs (training vs inference, why they hallucinate), prompt patterns that actually work (system + user, role priming, structured output, step-back questions), evals + when to trust, agents vs pipelines, and the honest limits (reasoning-about-self, real-time data, private data boundaries). Not an enterprise sales pitch — shipping over slides.
