Terms of Service — RedEye Labs
Version: v0.1-staging (draft) Effective Date (draft): TBD — will be set at v1.0 public launch Last Updated: 2026-04-17
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RedEye Labs learning platform at https://ailearning.redeyelabs.ai (the "Service") and the classes delivered through it. The Service is operated by RedEye Networks Solutions, LLC ("RedEye Networks," "RedEye," "we," "us," or "our") under the RedEye Labs brand.
By accessing the Service, enrolling in a class, or using any class materials, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may change these Terms from time to time; see §14 for how that works.
1. Who Can Use the Service
1.1 Age requirement
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you affirm that you are 16 or older and are legally competent to enter into this agreement under the laws that apply to you. If you are not, do not use the Service.
(This is more permissive than the RedEye Networks parent site's "age of legal majority" requirement. The Service restricts to 16+ specifically; parental guardians of students 16-17 should review these Terms with their student.)
1.2 Instructors and administrators
Classes are taught by authorized RedEye Labs instructors. Administrators manage accounts, classes, and content. Accounts for instructors and administrators require an email, password, and multi-factor authentication (TOTP). Your account credentials are your responsibility; don't share them.
1.3 Students
You do not need an account to take a class. You register for a specific class and enter class-portal access using the shared class token the instructor provides and a one-time email verification link. We do not store student passwords.
2. Class Enrollment, Changes, and Cancellation
2.1 Enrollment
You can enroll in a public class via its registration URL. For private (customer-specific) classes, enrollment is managed by the class instructor or the customer. By enrolling, you agree to attend the class as scheduled and to comply with these Terms.
2.2 Your right to cancel
You may cancel your enrollment at any time by replying to your confirmation email or contacting your instructor. Refund availability depends on timing relative to class start:
- More than 48 hours before class starts: 100% refund of any amount paid
- 24 to 48 hours before class starts: 50% refund
- Less than 24 hours before class starts: no refund, except at instructor or administrator discretion
Specific classes may advertise a different refund policy (e.g., "No refunds" or "Full refund only"); that class-specific policy, if displayed, controls.
2.3 Our right to cancel or reschedule
We may cancel or reschedule any class. If we cancel, you receive a 100% refund of any amount paid, regardless of timing. If we reschedule, we will notify you as soon as we can; you can keep your enrollment at the new time or request a 100% refund.
2.4 Impromptu classes
Some classes are scheduled on very short notice ("impromptu"). Standard cancellation and refund terms apply, but by the nature of impromptu classes, the full policy window may not be available to you. Impromptu classes are always free of charge in v1.
2.5 Waitlists
If a class is full, you may join a waitlist (if enabled). If a spot opens, we will offer it to you in the order you joined the waitlist. You will have a limited window (typically 6 hours or until the class starts — whichever is shorter) to accept and, if applicable, pay. After that window, the offer is withdrawn.
3. Fees and Payment
3.1 Pricing
Class prices (if any) are displayed on the registration page for each class. Prices are in US Dollars unless stated. Some classes are free.
3.2 Payment processor
Paid classes are processed through Stripe, Inc. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. We never see or store your payment card number — Stripe handles card data directly.
3.3 Taxes
Applicable sales tax may be added at checkout based on your location, computed by Stripe Tax.
3.4 Third-party costs
Some classes may require you to have an active subscription to a third-party AI service (e.g., Claude Pro, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Plus, Gemini Advanced). The class's registration page will disclose any such requirements. Those costs are not included in your class fee and are not refunded by RedEye under any circumstance.
3.5 Coupons
We may offer coupon codes redeemable at checkout. Each coupon has its own terms (expiration, total use limit, per-email limit). Coupons cannot be combined unless explicitly stated. Coupons have no cash value.
3.6 Administrator-added students
An administrator may manually enroll you in a class and waive or reduce fees at their discretion. Such enrollment is subject to these Terms.
4. What the Service Provides
4.1 Class materials
During a class, the Service generates personalized learning materials — primarily a lab guide — using artificial intelligence, your intake inputs (including optional resume if uploaded), and the class attributes set by the instructor. The lab guide is produced just for you. It may also include slide decks and a certificate of attendance.
4.2 AI-generated content — no warranty
AI-generated content is an inherently fallible output. Large language models can produce factually incorrect, outdated, biased, or otherwise misleading information. While we use a second-LLM quality pass to catch obvious errors, we do not warrant that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose. Use AI-generated content as a learning aid, not as professional advice.
4.3 Post-class access
After a class ends, we retain your lab guide for 30 days. You can retrieve it at any time during that window via https://ailearning.redeyelabs.ai/lab-guide/retrieve. After 30 days, the lab guide artifact is permanently deleted and we cannot recover it for you.
4.4 Certificates
If you received a personalized lab guide during a class, we issue a certificate of participation via email after the class ends. The certificate attests that you participated in the class and received the materials — it is not proof of real-time in-class attendance or of any particular skill assessment. Certificates are retained for 30 days, same as lab guides. They are not professional accreditation and confer no formal credential.
5. Ownership and Licensing
5.1 RedEye intellectual property
The Service itself — including software, class structure, prompt templates, the "Beginners in AI" curriculum, brand voice guidelines, and any RedEye Labs-owned content — is owned by or licensed to RedEye. You do not acquire rights in our intellectual property by using the Service.
5.2 Your lab guide — you own it
Any lab guide generated specifically for you is yours to use, print, share, excerpt, and repurpose. We encourage sharing. We place a non-copyright notice on your lab guide cover inviting you to distribute it freely. You do not owe us attribution, royalties, or permission for personal or educational sharing. (Commercial republication — e.g., reprinting the lab guide as a chapter in a book for sale — is discouraged and may conflict with our intellectual property in the underlying template; contact us first if you have commercial intentions.)
5.3 Third-party references in lab guides
Lab guides may reference specific software products, services, or game titles. All trademarks and copyrighted works mentioned remain the property of their respective owners and are used here for educational purposes under fair-use principles.
6. Your Obligations and Prohibited Uses
You agree to use the Service only for lawful educational purposes consistent with these Terms. In particular, you agree not to use the Service (or its generated content):
- For any unlawful purpose, including soliciting others to violate any law
- To violate any international, federal, state, or local law, regulation, or ordinance
- To infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property right of any party
- To submit, transmit, or upload material that is defamatory, obscene, indecent, abusive, offensive, harassing, violent, hateful, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable
- To promote sexually explicit or pornographic material, violence, or discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
- To send unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or other solicitation
- To introduce any viruses, worms, logic bombs, trojans, or other malicious code
- To harvest or collect personal information about other users of the Service
- To impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- To interfere with, disrupt, or circumvent the security features of the Service
- To use any automated means (bot, scraper, scraper-like script) to access the Service, class tokens, or generated content beyond normal personal use
- To submit resume or intake content containing instructions designed to manipulate the AI system (so-called "prompt injection"); while we have defenses, deliberate manipulation breaches these Terms
- To attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or derive the underlying AI prompts, templates, or systems behind the Service
We may suspend or terminate your use of the Service for violating these prohibitions.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what we collect, how long we keep it (tight retention — resumes hard-deleted within 24 hours of class end; full intake purged within 24 hours; lab guides kept 30 days), who we share it with, and your rights.
By using the Service, you consent to the processing described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Links to Third-Party Services
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services (AI providers, Microsoft Teams, Stripe, etc.). Those services are outside our control. RedEye makes no representations about the accuracy, availability, or quality of any third-party service. If you use a linked service, you do so at your own risk and are subject to that service's terms.
9. Warranty Disclaimer
THE SERVICE, ITS CONTENT, AND ANY CLASS MATERIALS (INCLUDING AI-GENERATED LAB GUIDES, SLIDES, AND CERTIFICATES) ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
REDEYE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ITS CONTENT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, NOR DOES REDEYE WARRANT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT. REDEYE HAS NO OBLIGATION TO MONITOR OR VET USER INPUTS OR GENERATED CONTENT.
REDEYE ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM ANY ACTION TAKEN OR REFRAINED FROM AS A RESULT OF INFORMATION OR CONTENT DELIVERED THROUGH THE SERVICE. IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE, YOUR SOLE REMEDY IS TO DISCONTINUE USING IT AND, WHERE ELIGIBLE, REQUEST A REFUND UNDER §2.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT PERMIT DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES. YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, REDEYE, ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, SUPPLIERS, AND THIRD PARTIES MENTIONED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT, EVEN IF REDEYE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN JURISDICTIONS WHERE LIMITATION IS PERMITTED BUT SOME LIABILITY REMAINS, REDEYE'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID REDEYE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RedEye and its subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns, and employees from any claim or demand (including reasonable attorneys' fees) made by any third party arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party; or (c) your misuse of the Service.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. On termination:
- You must immediately stop using the Service
- Any right to retrieve saved lab guides via the 30-day window may be revoked at our discretion for Terms violations
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive
13. Governing Law; Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and RedEye agree that any disputes arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:
- We bump the version (e.g., from v1.0 to v1.1)
- We note the new effective date at the top
- We record the policy version you consented to in our records, so both parties have an authoritative history
For material changes, we will seek renewed consent the next time you interact with the Service in a way that requires it. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any class-specific disclosures, constitute the entire agreement between you and RedEye regarding the Service.
- Severability: if any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
- Assignment: you may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
- Language: if these Terms are translated, the English version controls in case of conflict.
